HABiT Christchurch - Home and Building Inspection Team
Inspection reports have become vital tools for both sellers and buyers. Buying a home is the biggest investment most people make in their lifetime.
A LIM report will give you important information about the property, but it will not give you what condition the house is in.
Our inspectors are your eyes and ears – inspecting the roof, ceiling spaces and sub-floor areas. Our reports will identify any serious structural defects and deferred maintenance issues that may not be apparent when you initially view a property.
All inspections are performed in accordance with NZS 4306:2005 and professionally prepared and delivered electronically through our own in-house software.

EARTHQUAKE INSPECTION REPORT INFORMATION
Because of the huge vibration damage caused by the earthquake, I am reluctant to do a quick check and sign my name to it. I would prefer to do a thorough inspection of earthquake damage- (This does not cover off unrelated earthquake damage or issues with material or general design as a full pre-purchase or sale inspection would.)
The earthquake damage report will include all visual earthquake damage sighted - including photographs of the earthquake damage. It will identify if the damage is deemed structural or not, advise remedial action required to be taken, i.e. repair or further specialist required.
All easily identifiable with a green font for quick identification.
Any insurance forms – i.e.: Earthquake Damage - Property Information Forms, will be completed and attached to the email with the inspection report.

As you know we at H.A.B.i.T are negotiable over our inspection fees, as every house and situation is different. We normally quote you a price upon request; however we have many clients wanting an indication of fee structure so they can discuss options with their clients. With this in mind we have put together a list, which is not all inclusive, nor set in stone. We hope it will be of assistance.
