Kimihia Adventure Programme (KAP) is a programme for local ‘at risk’ young people (aged 13-16) that provides them with an alternative life and education pathway.
KAP strives to create a developmental culture where the young people take ownership of their choices through a high challenge, high support environment.
We offer a daily programme where we create a whanau like atmosphere from which the students are encouraged to grow from a status of dependence to interdependence. We believe that relationships are a key to maintaining positive change within a person.
Our holistic approach involves co-ordinating with a wide variety of agencies to ensure that all necessary support is provided to each student and their family.
