Kiwi Sailing at Pegasus Hire Centre
We are running the Hire Centre and are open every day now - except Christmas Day.
You can come and have a sail, have a paddle on a kayak or have a cycle around the lake. We are hiring DAILY from 11am – 5pm (Weather permitting)
Haven't sailed before? Then the Taster is for you - for just $35 you get 20 to 30 minutes with one of our coaches and then the rest of the hour in a boat on your own.
We have three sailboat options and three kayak options too.
Want to get good at this sailing lark? Try a course or two and in our 3-hour session we start with the very basics, getting you comfortable in the boat and building your confidence. There are 5 sessions in each course, but we suggest taking 2 courses to ensure that you get the best out of our experienced coaches. Some people have so much fun they come back for a third course!
Having fun and gaining experience is our goal for you, and we are here all summer.
We have courses to suit individuals, families, groups, schools and Holiday programs.

Summer holidays - the beach - water, sand and a lot of FUN. That is what we work on providing.
At Rua we focus on Sailing and learning - a course starts on Monday for the week - 9:30 to 12:30 each day. We even have a plan b if the weather is off. Book now! More to follow.
Akaroa
We have a group at Akaroa Yacht Club - 27th to 30th. Get in touch if you have a youngster there then. Limited spaces.
Pegasus Hire Centre.
Fresh from the World Championships at Perth our great young coach Gareth will be helping us at the hire centre from next week. Take a taster session with him for just $35 and get started in sailing. Then pick your course to follow it up. Gareth has been with the Kiwi Sailing team for a few years now and while he escaped to Auckland for Uni - or should we say to go sailing he is back for a few weeks.
A NEW boat back!
Actually it is the sails that are new. We have had new sails designed for the Piccolo's. Give them a try $20 for an hour.
We will be open 11 to 5 each day - not Christmas day - weather permitting. If no one is around we go home.

SPECIAL OFFER - Fun Sailing and Water Wings
Come and have a fun sail at Pegasus Lake Hire Centre on Friday evening from 4pm to 6pm. Hire out a Optimist for $12.50 an hour but stay for two.
FREE TRIAL - Limited spaces
If you have a youngster who would like to get confident near and on the water, we have a great session on Saturday mornings called Water Wings. From 9am - 11am, we have 2 great coaches who will take your youngster sailing, paddling and get them used to being around the water.
Learn Sailing at Pegasus Lake Hire Centre. Come along on Friday evenings 4pm - 6pm or Saturdays. We can start a new course every week. We have experience coaches on hand to give you tips and suggestions on how to handle your boat on the water.

Through out the school holidays we will have sailing sessions going on at Lake Rua. If you are just a beginner, we can show you how to put on a buyoncey aid and how to rig up your own boat. We will then get you confident to handle the boat on the water, and then we will have lots of fun racing, and sailing the boats upside down.
We have a course starting on the 19th December - 23rd December 2011 in the morning session, 9.30am - 12.30pm.
Pegasus
On Saturday mornings we have a new session starting called Water Wings; this is where we get youngsters confident around and in the water. We can show them how to paddle in a kayak and take them out in a sail boat. Learn Sailing at Pegasus Friday 4pm - 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 1pm - 4pm.
Booking is essential for the Learn Sailing.
Not essentail but recommended for the Water Wings.

WATER WINGS
Water activities to get confident and comfortable in and around boats.
Do you have a youngster who you would love to get more comfortable around the water? We now have the session for you.
WHERE - Pegasus Lake Hire Centre
WHEN - Saturday mornings 9 to 11 for two hours of water activities for all ages who want to have a lot of support getting into a boat - to row, paddle or sail.
WHO - We have no age restrictions for this session.
COST - $30.00 each. Get a groups of 3 or more together $25.00 each.
Keep coming and get every 6th session free.

LEARNSAILING
Only 2 places left for this Friday.
Join a course of 5 - 3 hour sessions running Friday evening 4 to 7 as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons 1 to 4 all at Lake Pegasus. We focus on learning how to really control a boat - upside down too.

Learn sailing.
Get more serious about sailing now. Join a course of 5 sessions with our fantastic coaches. The sessions are 3 hours and run Friday evening 4 to 7 - New course starting this Friday - as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons 1 to 4 all at Lake Pegasus.
We get you started just like a racing sailor and focus on learning how to really control a boat - upside down too.
$65.00 for a session
$275.00 for a 5 session course or

Why Pegasus. It is easy really - it is a great place to spend time and the surroundings are comfortable and the cafe close. We appreciate it is a bit out of town but we are really enjoying our time there and we are sure you will too.
We still love Lake Rua as a fantastic venue for getting started in sailing though.

We are changing the afterschool session at Lake Pegasus to Thursday 4pm - 6pm this week due to Friday being a public holiday.
The Hire Centre is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 6pm, so come and have a play, either a paddle in a kayak or a sail. If you have never sailed before, let our experienced coach teach you how.
Sailing Taster - For $35 per person, you will get a 30 minute coached session then up to an hour individual sailing to explore the lake.
Experience Sailing - From ages 2 and up, let our coach take you for a sail around the lake, $25 for 20 minutes.
Learn Sailing - Start a course Saturday or Sunday 1pm-4pm. Contact us for more details.

With our experienced coaches, going at your pass, at your level, they can show you how to sail around the picturesque lake. If you have sailed before but just need a little refresher, our coaches can adapt to where you are, and help you in remembering how to sail. We can take up to two people at time for only $35 each and you will get a coached 30-minute session, then enjoy up to an hour sailing around exploring the different bays on the lake.
If you enjoyed this, and would like to continue your sailing, we offer sailing courses. Starting at $275.00 for a 5-session course. Courses run on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays at lake Pegasus, and Wednesday afternoons at Lake Rua.

SAILING TASTER
Come and try sailing with an experienced coach. If it’s your first go, or you just want a refresher, our versatile coach will work at your level.
$35 per person for one or two people for a 30 minute trial with a coach, then enjoy an hour on an Optimist, or half an hour on a Walker Bay.
Full Learn Sailing courses also available. $65 per three-hour session, or $275 for a complete 5 session course. Courses run Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Lake Pegasus, and Wednesday afternoons at Lake Rua.

Exciting news. Kiwi Sailing is now running the Pegasus Lake Hire Centre.
Now you can come and hire one of our yachts for an hour or two at Lake Pegasus - 10 to 6 Saturdays and Sundays and all holidays. Weather permitting of course.
We also hire Kayaks and Bikes. Hire fees are from $9.00 per hour.
Try the Walker Bays for an hour or two, $25 per hour for 2 to 4 people!
LEARN SAILING.
First course starts Saturday 1:00 to 4:00 at Lake Pegasus.
Holiday courses run -
1:00 to 4:00 Monday to Friday
both weeks and at both Lake Rua and Lake Pegasus.
We have spaces al courses still.
We are looking for more bookings for 4:00 to 7:00 starting 10th October.

Yes we got started sailing this week with students from Manning Intermediate and Westburn School and they had a great time and we are looking at meeting some of these students coming back for more sailing over the summer.
Holidays are coming and we are getting busier, so now is the time to get in early so you can make the most of a sailing summer.
We start courses this coming Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

We are all ready for a great summer, where we help lots of people get started in sailing or just to do some more sailing.
Starting with;
Holiday courses - mornings, afternoons and evenings each week of the holidays. Courses start Monday 10th and Monday 17th of October.
We will be running courses at Lake Rua and at Lake Pegasus but numbers are very limited already so book soon to get the most out of a sailing summer.
Families - how about a course together? We have the boats and the team to help you all get sailing in boats on your own or in something a little bigger.
After the holidays we will begin courses after school most days of the week.
