Peter Thompson - Mortgage & Business Finance Specialist
I am a Registered Financial Adviser. I arrange finance for home, business or investment, debt consolidation & restructuring plus personal protection insurance. Because I am independent and understand the options available in the market, i can select the best deal to suit client needs. I often negotiate better deals with a clients own bank because I know what they have available.
After many years in business I also understand the challenges of business, especially for the self employed. I have a real interest in the business world & take great pleasure in putting together a tailored financial package for purchasing or restructuring business debt.
People are at the heart of any business, so whether you talk about home, investment or business finance, it takes experience and empathy to listen, understand & satisfy a clients needs. My business is based on a genuine desire to help & care for my clients over the long term. Much of my new business comes from referrals by existing satisfied clients. I love what I do, and get great personal satisfaction from getting results.
Latest banking policies
Despite everything in our fair city, "positive" is still the word. This even extends to banks!! The Reserve Bank was quite upbeat in it's latest statement last week and this seems to be reflected in policies by some of the majors with easing of credit terms and lending criteria, including deposits. So if you are considering a change, upgrade or know someone starting out with their first home, it's worth getting in touch.
They say that there is always opportunity in adversity. That is as much about luck and “positioning”. To make good of any situation you have to actively seek the opportunities. It’s purely luck if they land in your lap.
So the message is get out, get active whether for business or pleasure and you might get lucky!!

Merry Christmas!
They say it’s never a good idea to start with an apology, but I think it’s due to many of my valued clients who have not seen or heard from me this year. You’re certainly not forgotten!!
For many professionals whose offices were based in the central city like Mortgage Solutions, 2011 has been extraordinarily challenging year, trying to find alternative accommodation and re establishing their business, often without many of their records. That applies to us. Many of our paper records and files are still stuck in the office deep in the Red Zone. Fortunately, we do have a fairly good electronic back up, but not all the information has been transferred in some cases. However we have survived!
For me personally, having worked from home for 15 months, I made the decision to make that permanent as from November 1st. To read full letter click here
Please do feel free to seek help with short term funding, topping up to allow a move to a larger property or just advice and suggestions. I’m more than happy to help wherever I can.
Very best wishes for the Christmas Season. It’s a special time. I do hope you can enjoy time with family and friends and for a brief moment forget the traumas of the last year.
Very best wishes to you and yours,
